You Know HDS Win. We Built What Comes Next.
HDS Win has been running housing authorities since the early 1990s. Thousands of agencies built their operations around it, learned every screen, and kept residents housed for decades. That's not a small thing.
The world it was built for has changed. HOTMA, cloud access, mobile inspections, and real-time reporting. These weren't on anyone's radar in 1993. Kanso is where that same foundation goes next.
Kanso was built by the same team behind Housing Data Systems. We know HDS Win from the inside, every workflow, every screen, every reason agencies have relied on it for 30 years. We didn't build a replacement. We built what HDS Win would be if it were designed today.
We're not going to tell you the transition is painless. No honest partner would.
The muscle memory you've built in HDS Win is real. Relearning where things live takes time, and most agencies run both systems in parallel for the first few weeks while confidence builds. That's not a problem. That's the process working.
What every agency tells us on the other side: they'd do it again.
The 90-Day Agreement
We don’t force upgrades to Kanso, but when you decide to make the switch, here is what we agree to together:
Weeks 1-2: Data migration handled by our team. You don't move a single record manually.
Weeks 3-6: Side-by-side support. Your data team works with ours, and questions get answered quickly.
Weeks 7-12: You're running on Kanso. We're still here. Named support staff that you are familiar with; you are not just a ticket in the queue.
The 60-to-90-day window is an agreement, not a promise. We set it together. We hold it together.
