Plain, simple, natural – Kanso is the Zen principle of simplicity and the elimination of clutter. Kanso Software is also our new name.
Since our beginnings in 1991, Kanso – formerly Housing Data Systems (HDS) – has focused on helping tribal and public housing authorities simplify how they manage and adhere to the incredibly difficult rules and regulations associated with providing housing for those most in need.

When COVID-19 hit the United States, the Kanso Software team saw a big problem in managing scarce resources to serve those in need. We sprang into action, building the CareExchange App to provide critical resource management during a time when many were unable to access necessary daily items.
By connecting individuals and businesses alike, we made it possible to request needs, provide supplies, and to do so safely – ensuring we all make it to a brighter tomorrow.
